I love these kind of sessions. A subject willing to climb scaffolding (I tried to tell him not to) to get a cool shot! Easy to direct and photogenic all at the same time. Did I mention that I love my job? I'll be posting some of those images some time in the next week but for now here are just a few that are straight out of the camera without any editing or touch up, just sweet lighting.

Here are a few from one of my downtown sessions today. Perfect weather, perfect lighting, perfect subject...what more can I say.

What fun!

I spent just a bit of my evening with these two boys and what a treat! They both recently had birthdays with S. turning 4 and C. turning 1. I began photographing this family with maternity portraits over a year ago and they've just grown so much! They were delightful and delicious all in one! Here are a couple shots to give a glimpse of their personalities. I love it!

Last Call!!

Last call for Grandparent's Day portrait orders! If you would like to place an order I must have your order in my hands on Thursday, August 30th. I will be on location the majority of the day with portrait sessions, however, if you contact me I will make arrangements to meet with you either at the location I'm shooting at or at my old studio. If you have not received an email confirmation from me-I have not received your order. Please contact me if this is the case.

Orders.....

Anyone wishing to place an order for Grandparent's Day delivery must have their order to me no later than Thursday, August 30th. After that date, I cannot guarantee that it will arrive in time to give as a gift. Please keep this in mind! You can mail or drop off your order at the old studio. I will be meeting with other customers on Thursday during the day and will pick up any orders delivered there. Please feel free to ask any questions!

Complimentary Greeting Card!!

If you participated in our Grandparent's Day promotion you will receive a complimentary greeting card with an image from your session. I'll be ordering those on Monday so please let me know if you want to choose the image and/or any specific text to be printed. Additional cards may be ordered for just $4 each. Even if you did not participate in the Grandparent's Day sessions, you can still order one or more greeting cards for just $4! This can be created with an image from your session within the past few months. If you're not sure if we still have your images, contact me directly at jill@dreamcapture.com and I can double check for you. I need to know this weekend so that I can order and receive them in time for giving.

Grandparent's Day is September 9th!

Don't forget September 9th! It's Grandparent's Day is it should be celebrated! But, even if you send a card to remind your special Grandparent's that they are loved...it will make their day!

One of my sure bet subjects...

There are just a few children that I don't even have to put forth any effort and I am guaranteed the "it" shot. This is one of those kids. Her Mom decided to step out of the room (smart woman...the dynamics are completely different). She naturally falls into position with little or no direction and continues to interact with me the entire time. During these images, she was explaining to me how her leggings made her legs brown (since they're brown leggings, of course) and her Mom picked out the outfit when they went shopping. Many other tidbits were discussed but I must maintain some level of confidentiality...

Some images move me...

If I cannot find words to describe why I love an image, that's when I know it will be one of my faves. This was originally one that I would not have kept but I couldn't bring myself to do it and I never regret it when I make them a keeper! This little guy is scrumptious, I could just eat him up! With his personalized belt buckle engraved with his name, he looked adorable on Grandparent's Day!

Girls...so delicate, so sweet...

I laugh every time I look at this image. Her Mom appreciated the humor in it as well. This may not be one that she will want when senior pictures come around but, for now, this is classic in my book!

EMAIL DIFFICULTIES!!

If you have recently (within the past 3 days) replied to an email and have not received a response this may be the problem. I hate to ask but...could you please resend? Thanks a bunch!!

Sneak Peek!

I know it seems too early to think about the holidays but this is when I start scheduling my holiday sessions. So, I thought I'd share a few of the new cards for the holiday season! Of course, the font and text can be changed. Let me know what you think!! More samples to come!

Bluegrass Parents of Twins and Multiples

Friday the 10th from 8am to 8pm Saturday the 11th from 8am to 12 noon Consignment sale! A great place to get back to school clothing and other items that are always in great condition. I've been going to this sale for as long as I can remember and I love it because it's not a mad house and the prices are right.

This year, I'll have a table display set up with a few special offers specifically for those attending this event. So, come out and visit! At the same time, you can take advantage of the special offers. Not to mention, your child may be one that's being used in my display!

OPEN HOUSE CANCELLED!!

The Open House, originally scheduled for August 3rd, at the new studio has been cancelled. The construction has not been completed and I did try to inform those that I originally spoke to that the open house was not happening but I'm not sure if I missed anyone. Please, please, check back. I will be moving into a new location and the details will follow soon along with pictures, too! Thanks for checking in! P.S. The Grandparent's Day session are completely booked! Private sessions are still available and future promotions will be announced once we've moved so don't forget to check back!

I'm back!

Memphis was fun. The Peabody Hotel was wonderful! What a treat to stay in such a plush hotel. I took my oldest son with me and he enjoyed Beale Street and all of the "action". Now, I just need to get caught up! I'm moving as quickly as I can and thank you to everyone for being so patient. I'll talk to you soon!
