Something Fun!! KIDSPALOOZA!!

That's just fun to say!! A customer came in just the other day and mentioned this event which sounds like a ton of fun for everyone! More delicious baby...coming up!

Here is a scrumptious little girl that arrived just one week ago, although she was only 5 days old here. And, can we say "working the camera?". She stayed awake the entire time, seemed to notice the clicking of the camera and looked directly at me. Gotta love that!!

This session was taken in her very own room (which was beautiful, by the way...).

Sweet kids, sweet light...

A couple of adorable kids came out to play at Waveland with me in the sweet early evening light that I absolutely LOVE! We had a ton of fun and they did fabulously!

Just a note...

I know most people aren't thinking about the holidays yet but I just want to let everyone know that I am currently booked from September 9th through September 16th. I will then be in Florida from September 17th through September 22nd. If anyone is there during that time and would like to have beach portraits taken, please let me know before August 20th and I'd be happy to accommodate! What does any of this mean? It means that any sessions taking place between September 1st - 8th, will be previewed after September 23rd. So, if you are a Simply Baby Member or you want to have maternity portraits taken, we'll want to get you scheduled to make sure we allow enough time to complete them!

These images are all available for purchase in 11x14 mounted prints ~ $30 Okay, I've got to do it...my second step to not being such a hoarder (my first was admitting it, right?). I've got to sell off some of the duplicate prints that I've purchased and used for display and some that haven't been used for display! There's simply no more room! I even have Daycare prints and proofs that I have tons of! So, while I will try to post a few images of the duplicates that I have, it will be impossible for me to post all of them, or even close to all of them. Please feel free to come by the studio during the times listed below to take a look through things that will be available for a significantly reduced price...about 1/3 to 1/2 of the regular price! Sizes will vary from half-wallets to 24x36's and everything in between. The smaller ones are great for scrapbooking, too and you don't have to buy the whole set!

After this weekend, I will find a home for them and this offer will be over! Please understand that this will not be offered after the 20th at this reduced pricing. I figure, if I have to pack it up or find a home for it, it defeats some of the reasons for the discount, right? NOTE: I'll only be selling these to the parents or those in the actual print so if you're a distant cousin, or a friend of a friend of a sister's boyfriend, no can do. I have only been asked on a couple of occasions to sell a print of someone unrelated but I don't feel comfortable without consent so please don't ask and make us both feel awkward...

A new Big Brother!

This little man not only became a Big Brother recently but he came to visit me on his very own 4th birthday!! I'm not sure which is more exciting!!

TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES...

Apparently, my main website www.dreamcapture.com is experiencing technical difficulties due to a power outage somewhere in cyberspace.... They've been working on it since this morning and the hosting company says that it should be up and running any time now.... Sorry!

Daycare Picture Sneak Peek...

Here are just a few pictures that I took at the daycare last week... There's something to be said when a little kid knows you well enough that they flash their "picture smile" at you when they see you. This little girl gives me this smile every time I look in her direction with my camera. It's only when she's not paying attention that I get the real stuff...I'll post those later...

Usually both of these boys are just a blur through the lens! On the go and always adorable!

If you know this kid, you know that it's expected to see a sweet picture, he just doesn't take anything but!

The Latest

It's been quite a while since I've been able to post an update! After some hard drive difficulties, I'm finally able to recover some files that I had thought may have been gone forever. Not a good feeling... I finished up the Summer Newsletter and it can be viewed by clicking here. Lots of current info there. I'll be at the St. Joseph East Maternity Fair this Saturday, May 10th. The maternity fair is from 8:30am - 12 noon. Be sure to bring some address labels if you come, this will save you from filling out all those entry forms that all the vendors will have. I'll be sponsoring Dr. Nancy Bishof's talk on introducing siblings and pets to the new baby! I have taken my kids to Dr. Bishof for years and I my kids like her better than any other doctor they've had!
