Okay, I've been slacking on keeping the blog updated. But, I've had good reasons! I'm in the process of preparing for the Open House and making sure that everyone on the current mailing list receives an invitation. I'm going to hold off on posting images from sessions for the immediate time being. This will ensure that I stay on top of current sessions, preview appts, orders, the Open House, updating the studio, and assembling the bags that I'll be providing for the Lil Lambs closet sale this year. I sure hope these snow days go away! One thing I am working on is finding a good, consistent vendor for jewelry. Finally! March 15th is the scheduled date for the Open House! If you didn't already know, the new location is at 501 Darby Creek Road Suite 38 Lexington, KY 40509. Just mapquest or google it for directions or send me an email. Please come by any time between 10am and 6pm and check out the new studio (even if you've already been here) and celebrate with us! There will be so many new things to see! New products, new "baby" plans, changes to the studio, and don't forget we'll have some tasty treats and great give-aways! I'll be giving away a new "baby" plan as well as an Intimate Expressions package, and many other items! Plus, if you RSVP we'll reserve a special gift just for you! And, if you've previously had a portrait session with me, your gift will be customized with an image from your session! Intimate sessions are available on a limited basis. These are time intensive so it would require approximately 2 - 3 hours of session time depending upon the number of clothing changes.

LAST CALL FOR PROOF SALE!!

This is the last call for anyone wanting to take advantage of the extension on the proof sale! This offer will not be extended any longer and I don't plan on offering it again. Especially, now that we've made the change to projection viewing eliminating the need for proofs anyway. Although, there are times when the proof albums will be available from a private session, they are substantially higher in cost than this proof sale.

In order to be more efficient I will be going back to scheduling studio hours by appointment only. The days and times available may vary depending upon my location sessions during a particular week.

Other days/times will be available but, in general, I will be available for preview appointments and order pick ups/drop offs in the studio on Wednesdays between 10am-5:30pm. I will also be available at least one evening during the week which will vary based on my own children's activities.

Standard portrait sessions will be scheduled just as they are now, considering available times and those times/days best for everyone in the session.

Newborn sessions will be scheduled on Fridays in the studio. I always make room for new babies if I have your due date on my calendar and I will certainly do my best even when I don't have you on my calendar! There's no commitment for you to get on the calendar, so let us know when you're baby is due to arrive!

Availability for sessions on location during the winter months is limited so call as soon as you know that you want to schedule or if you just want some information!

Extension!

Christmas decorations in Florida...gotta love it!!

Due to the madness of returning from Tampa and some unforeseen events that made me unavailable, I am extending the proof sale through January 18th. This means that any information with the due date of January 12th will be extended until the 18th. This DOES NOT apply to the 5x7 upgrade. This does mean, however, that the delivery date for these orders will be extended for the same amount of time.

LAST CALL FOR 5X7 PROOFS!

Payment must be received today in order to receive the 5x7 proofs for the price of the 4x5/4x6 proofs. The proofs, without the special upsizing, will be available for purchase through January 12th so you do still have some time, but remember, it will not be extended for any reason. This is not going to be a standard every year, this is a special offer due to the relocation to the new studio and to make sure that it's fair for everyone having placed an order from their session(s).

YAY!! I'm off to warm, yes warm, Tampa, Florida!

I'll be attending a national photography convention from January 5th-12th. This is a business trip so I will be checking voicemail and email so please feel free to contact me with any questions or to schedule an appointment. With the exception of newborn sessions, my next available opening is during the last week in January.

It may take a full 24 hours to return your call depending on how my suntan is coming along....

There will be no assistant in the studio during this time to do anything more than check up on things, so please mail any correspondance/orders to PO Box 24953 Lexington, KY 40524. I'll confirm via email that I've received your order upon my return. If you're expecting delivery of an order and haven't heard from me, please email me directly at jill@dreamcapture.com. Proof orders can be mailed or emailed as well.

Here it is...2008! Wow, it's almost surreal to think that it's a new year already. The past 6 months have been a complete blur! The back and forth with the first studio location that was never completed (and is still vacant) and finally the transition into the current studio which seems to be ongoing. I've been here for a few months now and I'm still not settled in! It's coming along and I'm determined to get it organized in the coming weeks when I return from Tampa. Any inspiring New Years resolutions out there? I would love to hear them! Me? I'm going to try to get more organized and continue to grow my business. What else, right?

PROOF SALE!!

It's that time again...PROOFS FOR SALE!!!

This year will be a bit different from last in that not all of the proofs made it through the move and not everyone viewed printed proofs. Therefore, I will be offering to have the proofs reproduced if the interest is there. Please contact me if you are interested!

JUST SO YOU KNOW...

• These will be unmarked proofs, just like those in the proof albums.
• Proofs will be produced in sizes 4x5, 4x6, or 5x7. Order by January 3rd and receive 5x7 proofs at no additional cost!
• Price will vary depending upon your original order total, the size of proofs produced, and the number of proofs purchased.
• Proofs will be sold in sets based on the session itself. This will eliminate the need to sort through or decide how many you may want from a session. For example, if you had a spring and fall session with us but you only want to purchase the proofs from your spring session you will be purchasing all of the proofs from that session. Even if there are 50 proofs and you only want 2 (yes, this does happen), you would need to purchase all of them as a set. If you don't think that you want or need all of them you can give them to family or friends or start a scrapbook!
• Proof album and/or lay out is available for an additional fee.
• Images will not be placed online - please do not ask.
• This offer will not be extended - absolutely no exceptions.
• Images will be archived and all of those pesky fees, minimum orders, and regular pricing will apply if you decide that you want to reorder any images.
• Images not previously ordered as a print will not be accessible. This is your final opportunity to get those images that were "rejected" along with a copy of those that you loved.
• This will also keep these images on file and will allow you to reorder for up to 12 months!
• Some sessions may be unavailable for various reasons. However, most sessions are accessible, even those from daycare and promotional sessions within the past 12 months.
• All proof orders must be prepaid. Visa and MasterCard are accepted as well as cash, check, and money order.
• All payments must be received NO LATER THAN January 12th. Payments received after this date will be returned.
• Orders placed on or before January 3rd will automatically receive 5x7 proofs at no additional cost.

Santa Session opening available!

There are a couple of openings for the Santa sessions tomorrow, December 8th. The available times are 1:30p and 2pm. There may be others that cannot be confirmed so check with me at jill@dreamcapture.com if you're interested! The sessions last approximately 20-30 minutes and there is a session fee of $49 that includes an 8x10 and 12 wallets.

Last call for note cards and calendars...

This is the last call for note cards and calendars in order to have them back in time for the holidays. They extended the deadline already and I don't think it will happen again so please place your order for these items no later than November 30th. This will make sure that we get them back in time to give. Probably not enough time to mail unless locally, just keep that in mind.

Note card pricing is as follows:

$35 set of 25 postcard style ~ 4x5

$55 set of 25 folded note card style ~ 4x5

$90 set of 25 tri-fold style ~ 5x5

Sold in sets of 25. Discount of 20% on each additional set of identical cards. All cards have the optional linen texture finish to add a touch of elegance. Envelopes are included as well and will be delivered with the cards. Occassionally, I do have them prior to the note cards if you want to stop by and pick them up to begin addressing them. Check with me first just to make sure I have them though! New templates have been uploaded to the website so check them out!
