It's that time of year again....

December 7th

10am - 4pm Santa is going to visit with us again this year for scheduled sessions so that each child has the opportunity to enjoy this special time. Santa will take his time so that there are no tears ~ this should be fun and exciting for children and not a traumatic event...EVER! Sessions will last up to 30 minutes and each child will receive a special little something from Santa. Session times are limited so contact jill@dreamcapture.com if you are interested. Cost: $49 per child ~ Siblings $24.50

As the holiday season rushes in...

I realize on some days, more than others, just what a wonderful clientele I have. I am so fortunate to do what I love every day. I am even more fortunate to do what I love with people gracious enough to allow me a glimpse into their lives. Many of my clients have become wonderful friends and I am so thankful for them.

As most of you know (those that have been coming to me for a while), I tend to over-extend myself which usually causes me to trigger an episode of vertigo, Meniere's Disease, and/or BPPV. I haven't gotten a definitive diagnosis in all this time but whatever it is, it makes me feel terrible. During these episodes, it's difficult for me to keep up or communicate clearly. I appreciate everyone being so patient, especially with this last episode. That being said, if you have called over the past couple of weeks or attempted to contact me and have not received a return call, please accept my apology and if you are still in need of my services I would love to hear from you again.

To everyone who checked in on me and offered a helping hand or just left a note to say that you were thinking of me, I am so very grateful.

So, while it may be frustrating for some, myself included. I am learning to follow advice I heard from someone which is:

"Embrace that which defines you".

The thought of that, for me, is not an option. Never!

I'm so into this whole political thing (always have been) and,

in keeping politics separate from business relations,

I will be spending my day voting and

taking advantage of the opportunity to talk with my kids

about the whole process and how we get to this point, and beyond.

I love every minute of it!

I rarely take a day off, but I will be unavailable this election day.

I will return calls, emails, etc. on Wednesday but,

being addicted to my work,

I may check my messages if my will becomes weak

so let me know if there is something vital

that needs an immediate return call

(like if you need a ride to the polls).

FYI: There were some announcements yesterday morning on one of the local channels that stated the polls would be open later than they actually will be but that was NOT true.

The polls are open 6a-6p as always.

**Discontinued Item ~ Proof Albums

At least for the time being, assembled proof albums will not be offered effective October 1, 2008. This is a time intensive project that just isn't possible at this time of year, not to mention it's been extremely difficult in getting the albums themselves. So, to avoid providing a disappointing product, I will hold off on offering these until further notice.

However...

Proofs can still be purchased just as before only they will be printed in 5x7's displayed in a cute little proof box similar to those shown here. Colors will vary as I've found some really cute bright polka dot and striped ones as well as classic colors in black, brown, and the like.

Thank you to everyone for being so patient lately. This past weekend was the icing on the cake... My portable hard drive was zapped when I was downloading between sessions and printing off something else (got to multi-task!) so I am unable to access the files that I've recently worked on. So, I'm still working on pulling them off but it will be a slow process as I am not skilled at this sort of thing. If there is anyone that is familiar with these and would like to sned a bit of advice my way, that would be much appreciated. ****************** I've also gotten a cold, how is that?! But, I'm doing my best to stay coherent and not fall too far behind before going to Orlando. So, again, thank you for being patient, that's one thing I need a lot of right now!

The note card will be designed with your child's image and it can have customized text as well as Happy Grandparent's Day! If you need more than one, identical cards can be purchased for $4 each. Of course, envelopes are included.

Warning...fine print below-PLEASE READ!

• Please be sure to put GRANDPARENTS DAY in the subject line of your email. That way I know it's not spam!
• To be eligible for the complimentary note card, a portrait session must have taken place within the past 12 months or the images are currently being used for display.
• I will try to fulfill requests for a specific image, if you have the image number.
• Without the image number, I will select the image for the note card.
• To select the image, please include the image number in the initial email. I will be submitting the orders as quickly as possible in order to receive them in plenty of time so if there is no image number in the initial email, I will select the image and place the order. No exceptions.
• Include in your email how many total cards you would like. So, if you indicate in your email that you want 1 note card, that is the amount that will be ordered, even if you qualify for the complimentary card. If you know that you'll want 2 cards, then please indicate it just like that. If you qualify for the complimentary note card, you would only be obligated to pay for one of them.
• Payment is due when you pick them up.
• If you would like to order a specific image and you need assistance with determining the image number, please contact me by phone or email and I'll be happy to help. This will not qualify for the complimentary note card, however.

I will let you know via email who will receive the complimentary note cards by the end of the day on Monday, the 18th.

This little girl has come to me many times since she was born and she is just so adorable and animated, I have so much fun with her and her parents! And, this is what comes of a relaxed, uncoaxed session...
